I went into Tidy Studio to help them with an animation project and I was then asked to help with a branding project. It was great working with a small studio because I got a lot of insight into how they think, and how they approach / tackle their workload.
I enjoyed working in their studio environment, I found that I could keep my creative mind occupied, and on task throughout the time I spent with this studio.
I was asked to create some animated idents to help liven up and portray the new theme for the D&AD Young Blood Ceremony. It was great working with AfterHours and getting to understand how they work.
Working with this team has improved my confidence, and I've also gained experience meeting and working with clients. I've gained a lot from working with AfterHours and the resulting work went down really well at the event.
Working with Rather Inventive honed my skills as a designer. My role has primarily been designing, creating, and adapting Motion Graphics and TouchScreen Presentations for the company Goodrich (now known as UTC Aerospace Systems). I have also designed and coded websites with them, expanding upon my knowledge of web design and responsive design.
Working with this team has developed my skills working in a team and collaborating on projects, working to tight deadlines, and keeping calm and on track in high pressure situations.
I worked to a brief set by a small creative team in Shrewsbury, for The International Design & Technology Conference in Dubai. They needed an animation to fit their static graphics and presentation. There was a small amount of back and fourth, the project lastest 2 weeks and was well recieved.
Working with Welsh Ice was a unique experience. There are lots of different companies all in one area, working around eachother, creating a small community. I was asked to create motivational imagery to help promote the work attitude around Welsh Ice's buildings. I enjoyed working with the team and gained valuable experience in design and comminication.
I continued on at Welsh Ice and collaborated with another designer to create an information pack about what it is Welsh Ice do, and how they can benefit start up companies.
British Red Cross
I was approached by a representetive of The British Red Cross, who were sponsoring an exhibition, to create a guide to the exhibition in keeping with their brand style. It was my first experience working to strict brand design guidelines.
This was early experience and I learned a lot about how and why it is important to keep within particular guidelines.
